Kaeno (Deon Butler) is a veteran DJ, producer, A&R, and creative director with more than three decades of experience helping shape the global electronic music landscape. Known for his distinctive fusion of driving techno, trance, and tech-trance, Kaeno has established a career that extends far beyond the DJ booth. His experience includes artist development, branding, and A&R for Aria Digital, alongside creative and strategic work supporting artists, record labels, and events throughout the international electronic music community. Throughout his career, Kaeno has performed opening and direct-support duties alongside some of electronic music’s most influential artists, including Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Sasha & John Digweed, Carl Cox, Above & Beyond, Tiësto, and many others. His longevity, versatility, and commitment to underground music have established him as a respected figure in the U.S. trance and techno communities while keeping him connected to the scene's international evolution. As founder of The Vanishing Point Recordings, Kaeno continues to champion forward-thinking electronic music while creating a platform for emerging and underrepresented artists within trance and techno. His debut artist album, Nefarious Things, represents a defining chapter in his evolution as a producer, combining cinematic storytelling with the darker, driving energy that has become central to his sound. The project has further expanded Kaeno’s international presence through performances and touring across the United States and Asia, with continued growth into additional global markets. Beyond production and performance, Kaeno is the driving force behind Alpha 5 Design Group, a full-service creative agency specializing in branding, visual identity, digital experiences, and creative direction across the music and commercial industries.
