How BookedDJ handles personal data as a public directory of DJs, agencies and tour dates.
BookedDJ processes personal data under the GDPR to run this directory. The controller is Roots Agency, reachable at www.roots-agency.com.
What we store
- User accounts: name, email and password (hashed).
- Public DJ and agency profiles: artist names, profile text, photos, social links, venues and booking contacts when published.
- Preferences: the DJs you follow and related notifications.
- Aggregated profile metrics (views) used by the ranking.
- Technical data from Google Analytics (page views, device and approximate location) when analytics cookies run.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest in running the directory, contract performance for registered accounts, and consent for Google Analytics and for creating an account (terms checkbox).
Rankings and public sources
Ranking positions come from public charts (DJ Mag, DJ Rankings, DJ Index, DJaneTop, The DJ Sessions, Electronic-Festivals). We store the position and the source, never private data from those sites.
Agency contacts
Booking contacts are only visible to signed-in users. They are commercial details that are usually public, but we restrict access to reduce abuse.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4SCV7CCYMV) to understand how the site is used. See the cookie policy for details.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or object to processing. Contact Roots Agency through www.roots-agency.com. Accounts can be closed on request.
Retention
Account data for as long as the account exists. Past dates stay in the history for ranking and profile credibility. Analytics data follows Google Analytics retention.
