Format:B is the Berlin techno duo of Franziskus Sell and Jakob Hildenbrand. Jakob is a Berliner, from Kreuzberg to be exact. After years of dodging music lessons, he decided at 15 that he needed a bass guitar - which then manoeuvred him from hardcore bands to funk and jazz. But suddenly there was a small problem: he liked Techno parties much better than rock concerts. Franziskus is from Erfurt in Germany's East. He started piano lessons at age 6 and his musical interests took him from Michael Jackson and Pet Shop Boys through to Hardcore. Then one night out at the legendary E-Werk in 1993 made his heartbeat skip from Chopin over to a 4/4 beat where it was to remain, probably forever. The paths of these two young men crossed whilst they were both studying to be sound engineers. After spending long Berlin party nights together they decided to see if they could start a project together. And so Format:B was born - a duo known for its precise, energetic techno and deep house sets. Actualmente en el #370 del ranking global de BookedDJ. También aparece en The DJ Sessions #87.
