Few national stages and clubs in Portugal have not yet been played by Bruno Castro (DJ Overule). An avid collector of records, event and festival credentials, awards and nominations - Best DJ (2004) and Breakthrough DJ (2003) - his work has been highlighted by the media and has made the covers of leading magazines in the scene. Recognised in Portugal and abroad, he is regularly booked by top clubs in the genre and tours across Europe (Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany), Morocco, the United States and Canada. With an average of around 150 shows a year, he is possibly the DJ who plays the most on Portuguese soil. He created and hosts Pump Up The Volume Radio Show, which has been on air for nearly a decade. It currently airs on Thursdays at midnight on Radio Nova Era (Greater Porto) and is also released monthly as a worldwide podcast with more than 10,000 listeners a month. It was recently featured by the iTunes Store as one of the most relevant podcasts. As a DJ and producer he has been involved in many projects, including the mega-hit "Ritmo do meu flow" with Flow 212 (2008), the TMN advertising jingle "Ate ja" with Junior and NewMax (Expensive Soul) (2005), and his first project 7pm (2002), winners of the Prémios Maqueta that year. He has worked with brands and companies including MTV, Adidas, Reebok, TMN, Marlboro, Ecko Unltd and Malibu. Technically skilled, he often uses turntablism in his shows, with a natural ability to blend electronic music in its many forms, hip hop, R&B, reggae/dancehall, trap/twerk, dubstep and drum & bass.
